Continuous focus on tightening muscles and making them stronger without paying attention to elongating the same muscle and relaxing them create dysfunction within the muscles of the body. Lower stamina, diminished neuromuscular control, loss of flexibility followed by loss of mobility and pain are some of the consequences of these dysfunctions.
A well designed workout plan includes releasing the tensions that we create. To balance and release the tightness we created in the abs, neck and shoulder in the last exercise which was a seated knee tuck, during the active rest, we perform an exercise ball roll stretch.
