Exercise & Routines
One physical exercise is an ingredient of a workout routine similar to a single item in a food recipe.
The amount of time you spend on each exercise, the way you combine them as well as the way you order and prioritize them determines how good your final “recipe” is.
Think of an omelet.
Allowing time for the pan to heat reduces the time for your eggs to cook which prevents dehydration of the eggs.
If you sauté onions first, the flavor comes out. If you mix them in with your eggs, you’d won’t get the flavor, or you will dry out your omelet while trying to cook onions mixed in at the wrong time.
The same things happen a workout routine.
To even get results without hurting yourself and to continue getting results, you need to spend just the right amount of time on each exercise.
You also need to select synergistic exercises that are not redundant and waste your time and do not miss a significant step that weakens your body and leads to injury.
There are also comfort exercises.
Just like comfort foods, comfort exercises have their place. However, just like in comfort foods, comfort exercises may not provide what you need to clear your head, balance your emotions and provide ad pain-free, energetic and responsive body.
Everything always depends on your goals.
Your goal determines your workout routine, and your routine determines your exercise selection. It all begins with exactly what you are trying to accomplish.
